We are excited to announce that we will be holding IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Classes on Tuesday September 15th. Cindy Hale (Clover Valley Farms, and formerly with UMD) will be teaching about fruit tree pest and disease issues and how to deal with them in a safe and often organic way. Location will be at The Apple Tree Guy’s orchard in Carlton. This class will answer all of those questions you have about those “spots on your apples” and much much more!
There will be two classes, 1pm to 4pm, and 5pm to 8pm. Classes will be held rain or shine unless there is lightning. These classes are interactive and are limited to only 20 people. It will be first come first served so sign up now to save your place!
Likely issues to be discussed will be diseases and pests such as Apple scab, fireblight, mildew, army worms (yuck!), leaf roller worms, apple maggot, plum curculio, and much much more. If you want to find out what is eating your apple tree leaves, making those spots on the apples, or maybe even killed your tree, sign up and learn now! As we have worked with Cindy many times in the past, I can assure that you will learn lots and have a good time!
P.S. If checking out on our website, please ignore the “you agree to pick up your order on the 30th“, even though you are just signing up for a class.
