Ingredients
- 2 cups broth or water
- 1 bay leaf
- salt
- 1 cup dried lentils
- 1 clove garlic finely chopped
- 1/8 t ground cloves
- 1/8 t grated nutmeg
- 3 T vegetable oil
- 3 T apple cider
- 3 T Clover Valley Farms Vinegar
- 3 T brown sugar molasses, or honey

Instructions
- Bring broth or water to a boil.
- Add bay leaf, salt and lentils.
- Cover, simmer gently for 30 min.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Mix well, cook for 5 more minutes, or lentils are tender.
