Ingredients
  • 2 cups broth or water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt
  • 1 cup dried lentils
  • 1 clove garlic finely chopped
  • 1/8 t ground cloves
  • 1/8 t grated nutmeg
  • 3 T vegetable oil
  • 3 T apple cider
  • 3 T Clover Valley Farms Vinegar
  • 3 T brown sugar molasses, or honey

Instructions
  1. Bring broth or water to a boil.
  2. Add bay leaf, salt and lentils.
  3. Cover, simmer gently for 30 min.
  4. Add remaining ingredients.
  5. Mix well, cook for 5 more minutes, or lentils are tender.
